We Stand For Equality

A message from our Founder Mike Pierce:

To our team, trusted partners and those that believe & support in us,

Regatta’s mission statement is to “Unite a global community of fitness enthusiasts in live experiences for shared empowerment and inspiration”. These words carry responsibility for us and our members - Regatta will always be a place where people can come together in freedom and shared respect without prejudice.

Recent events in our country, however, have ripped at the very hope of what we wish our society to achieve – a community where everyone feels welcome, safe and cherished for who they are. The death of George Floyd and others, the responses to those horrific events, and the hurt that many are feeling – especially those in the Black community – are calls for help that we all must act on. We have work to do in healing past injustice, building trust, and preventing further wrongs.

At Regatta, we stand resolute for the equality and inclusion of all and firmly against racism and the denial of respect and dignity to anyone. Within our organization and our community, we must actively prevent racial injustice and promise to build a culture that eradicates this from the future of our society.

In the struggle for Black equality, Frederick Douglass was ahead of his time. His personal story is inspiring and his perspective on equal rights was visionary. In his words,

“A battle lost or won is easily described, understood, and appreciated, but the moral growth of a great nation requires reflection, as well as observation, to appreciate it.”

We all need to commit to being honest about where progress still needs to be made in achieving equality, and endeavor to make meaningful change in thought, action and word. We can be a better nation than we are now.

I want to thank you all for being part of our special team at Regatta. Our platform will be a beacon of hope and inspiration to everyone.

All the best,
